El transporte. Transportation

El vuelo ya lo tenemos cerrado.
Volamos con Finnair. Ida y vuelte a Kansai Intl Airport en Osaka, por 503 Euros por persona tasas incluidas. Hemos completado el proceso contratando un seguro de anulación, accidentes y gastos medicos, que cubre incluso los gastos originados por un posible retorno precipitado (dejando los niños en España hay que prever lo imprevisible), que nos ha costado poco mas de 50 Euros por persona.
El vuelo sale a las 10 de la mañana del Prat y llega a Helsinki a las 14:55. Comeremos en este aeropuerto que ya conocemos de nuestros dos viajes a Finlandia y saldremos a las 17:20 hacia Japón, aterrizando a las 8:55 del dia 29 de abril en el aeropuerto de Osaka. Tras recoger nuestras maletas (si no se pierden por el camino) buscaremos el tren que nos llevará en menos de dos horas a Kyoto. Nos morimos de ganas de ver alguna Geisha, tendremos que pasear por Gion...., nuestro Ryokan esta cerca. Las dos siguientes noches las pasaremos en Nara, visitando sus templos. Preveo que tendremos que llevarnos buenas zapatillas y mejorar nuestra forma fisica....
A esto hay que añadir el Japan Rail Pass, imprescindible para todos los kilometros que vamos a realizar recorriendo la Isla de Honshu. El de siete dias que es el que compraremos cuesta algo mas de 200 Euros que es menos del doble del trayecto Osaka Tokyo, por lo que vamos a amortizarlo de sobras, sabiendo que ademas nos servira para usar la linea circular Yamamote de JR que cubre Tokyo. Los primeros dias nos moveremos por la región de Kansai (Osaka, Kyoto y Nara) por lo que nos sale a cuenta pagar los billetes directamente ya que su coste no será demasiado alto (distancias máximas de 100 km).

It costs more than 200 Euros which is less than twice the Tokyo Osaka route, so that we will amortize leftovers, knowing that we also serve to circulate Yamamote use of JR Tokyo covering the en . The first days we will move through the region of Kansai (Osaka, Kyoto and Nara), so we get to pay the bills directly account as the cost is not too high (maximum distance of 100 km).

Kyoto

Nuestro primer destino serà Kyoto. Al aterrizar en Kansai Intl Airport, nos permite empezar explorando esta preciosa region del centro de la Isla de Honshu. Las dos primeras noches las pasaremos en Kyoto y ya he reservado estas dos noches en un Ryokan llamado Yachiyo, un edificio tradicional de estilo japones, rodeado de un jardin japones, situado junto al templo de Nazenji.

Our first destination will be Kyoto. landing at Kansai Intl Airport, allows us to begin exploring this beautiful region of central Honshu Island. The first two nights we were spent in Kyoto and we have already booked this two nights in a ryokan named Yachiyo, a traditional Japanese style building, surrounded by a Japanese garden, next to the temple Nazenji.

Tenemos las cenas y desayunos contratados en el Ryokan, que seran servidos en la habitación. La cena es un Kaiseki que se compone de 8 a 10 platos con productos de temporada.

We hired dinners and breakfasts at the Ryokan, which will be served in the room. Kaiseki dinner is made up of 8 to 10 dishes with seasonal food.



Llegaremos el dia 29 al mediodia y estaremos hasta el dia 1 de mayo en que saldremos hacia Nara, donde hemos reservado dos noches en un western hotel, el confort Nara, cerca de la estación de ferrocarril JR.

Empieza la aventura. The adventure begins

Ayer hicimos la reserva de los vuelos, desde Barcelona, con Finnair, con escala en Helsinki al Kansai Intl Airport en Osaka.

Hemos empezado a organizar el viaje, teniendo en cuenta que salimos el dia 28 de abril por la mañana y no llegamos a Osaka hasta el 29 por la mañana (hora local). La contrapartida es que vuelvemos el domingo 10 de mayo por la mañana y llego a Barcelona por la tarde, ganando horas al dia.

Nuestro plan inicial es pasar las dos primeras noches en Kyoto, luego viajar a Nara y pasar otras dos noches, para el dia 3 iniciar el uso del Japan Rail Pass para ir hacia Hiroshima en Shinkansen (tren bala) y pasar una noche, dandonos tiempo para ver el memorial por la paz. De alli viajar en el tren y Ferry (incluido en el Japan Rail Pass) a la Isla de Miyajima donde pasaremos una noche en un Ryokan de lujo, el Iwaso. Ryokan es el hotel tipico japones, donde las paredes en muchos casos son de papel y las puertas correderas, en muchas ocasiones ni tienen cerradura, con tatami en el suelo, una mesa baja y la comida tradicional japonesa servida en la habitacion y en lugar de cama se duerme en futones. El Onsen son aguas termales que hay en algunos Ryokan , donde puedes tomar baños en interior o exterior en aguas termales ardientes (dicen que es el secreto de la longevidad de los japoneses). Desde alli volveremos a coger el Shinkansen para hacer los casi 1000 Km hasta Tokyo donde pasaremos 4 noches en un Ryokan en Ochanomizu, a pocos metros de la estación de tren de ese nombre de la linea Yamamote de JR lo que me permitirá moverme por Tokyo con el Japan Rail Pass, haciendo la visita de Kamakura (con la impresionante estatua que figura en la cabecera de este post) y recorriendo una ciudad que nos parece desde la distancia fascinante.


Yesterday we booked the flight from Barcelona, ​​with Finnair, with a stopover in Helsinki to Osaka Kansai Intl Airport.
We have begun to organize the trip, considering we left on the 28th April in the morning and arrived at Osaka until 29 in the morning (local time). The downside is that we retourn on Sunday 10 May in the morning and arrived in Barcelona in the evening, earning hours a day.
Our initial plan is to spend the first two nights in Kyoto, and then travel to Nara to spend another two nights, starting on day 3 to use Japan Rail Pass to go to Hiroshima by Shinkansen and spend a night there, having time to see the memorial for peace. From there we travel by train and Ferry (included in the Japan Rail Pass) to Miyajima  island, where we spend a night in a luxury ryokan, the Iwaso. Ryokan is the typical Japanese hotel, where in many cases the walls are paper and sliding doors, and often it have not lock, with tatami floor, a low table and traditional Japanese food served in the room and instead of bed you sleep on futons. The Onsen are hot springs that there are in some Ryokan where you can bathe in hot indoor or outdoor in hot springs (say it is the secret of longevity of the Japanese). From there we will take the Shinkansen to the nearly 1000 km to Tokyo where we will spend 4 nights in a ryokan in Ochanomizu, a few meters from the train station of that name on Yamamote JR line which will allow me to move by Tokyo with the Japan Rail Pass, making the visit to Kamakura (with the impressive statue contained in the header of this post) and touring a city that seems fascinating.
